Sula Vineyards is India’s first winery and first locally produced wine. Since 1999, Sula Vineyards has been producing several varieties types of wine and has been the pioneer in wine making in India. I felt the logo for Sula Vineyards is quite dated and to many wine drinkers in India, Sula wine has begun to be perceived as a lower quality wine. I think a lot of this has to do with the way the brand has been packaged and could therefore do with an update. If the wine is rebranded and packaged with an international and modern sensibility, it could be seen as the high quality brand it really is and compete with its international adversaries. I decided to take the logo up as a personal project to see where the branding identity would take me.
